Advised by legendary Central Otago viticulturist Robin Dicey the first vines were planted at this Estate in 2003. The team at Folding Hill carefully selected clones and rootsocks proven locally to make wines with complexity, flavour, balance and length and have done everything possible to ensure the vines have been able to reach their full potential. They strongly believe that low yields are of paramount importance in creating outstanding Pinot Noir and they manage their vines intensively through the growing season to ensure crop levels are around 3.5 - 4.5 tonnes per hectare.Their approach to winemaking is based on the traditional philosophy and practices of the 'Old World'. They believe that hand picking optimally ripe fruit and then gently guiding it through vinification with as little intervention as possible allows them to produce elegant wines with flavour and structure that authentically reflect the special place they come from - wines that really are "Handmade from Central Otago"

Gladstone is a small, family owned Vineyard owned and run by Christine Kernohan. The vineyards are planted on an old riverbed that provides free draining, nutrient rich soils ideal for grape cultivation. This range of wines come exclusively from Gladstone’s own vineyards, and is gaining an international reputation for the quality and finesse of their wines.

Hawksdrift is a family owned vineyard, located in the Dillons Point region of Marlborough. Murray and Robyn Butt were among the first to pioneer growing grapes in this area. Before they took their first steps into viticulture, in 1998, they farmed the land conventionally, growing crops and raising livestock. The Dillons Point area is in the East of Marlborough, near the sea coast. It lies close to sea level and has deep, fertile soils. Shelter from the Wither Hills range, contributes to a long, hot ripening season, meaning, the fruit is left to ripen when other, cooler areas have shut down. This long hang time develops fully ripened summer flavours in the fruit.
The wines are all hand crafted and fermented and aged in old French Oak barrels. The quality is superb and the Sauvignon will rival any other premium oaked Sauvignon currently on the market.

Our own label Sauvignon Blanc from Marlborough comes from the best plots of the Kuranui Vineyard which is in the upper reaches of the Awatere Valley in Marlborough. Here hot days and cool nights help the vines to produce grapes that are fully ripened but that retain some wonderful acidity. This is a serious cut above bulk New Zealand Sauvignon but comes at a great price.
